Here's an update on home playoff games for four-lane minor hockey teams. Unless otherwise noted, matches are played in Williamstown, on the four-lane rink. the center

Alexandria Peavy "C" has qualified for the Glens League Championship Series, March 20, 7:30 p.m., at Alexandria.

The second game is scheduled for 7pm. In Long Sault, the next day will start bright and early at 9:30 a.m., with a third swing in Alexandria.

If necessary, the fourth contest will be played in March at Long Sault, at 1 p.m. Game five is to be decided.

The Alexandria Atoms are on their way to the finals of the Bay Glens Championship. The Glens secured a spot after defeating South Stormont 1 with a 5-3 effort on Saturday at the Billy Gabby Arena.

The win gives Alexandria three wins in the round robin, more than any other team in Lower St. Peter's. Lawrence Minor Hockey League. This ensures the Glens at least second place, as they will have a win over Akwesasne if Wolves also reach six points. The four-laner rebels are also in the driver's seat, with two wins in two games. The Rebels can clinch second place by defeating last-place North Glengarry-Stormont on Wednesday.

The Glens close their round-robin action at 6 p.m. Wednesday against Cornwall Colts 2, in Cornwall.

The Glens came out of the regular season weekend to win their first two playoff games, allowing just one goal. Hopes rose on Sunday that the Glens could qualify for the finals after beating bottom St Peter's. Lawrence Minor Hockey League regular-season champion, South Stormont 2, with an impressive performance of 2-1. It was only the team's third loss of the year, not including tournament play.

Against South Stormont, Cal Donnie McDougald scored the all-important first goal, unassisted, less than a minute into the match, played at Longsalt Arena. Brandon Burris then scored the eventual game-winner on a pass from Macauley Blaine.

South Stormont eventually managed to get one past hot Glens goalie Grayson Andre McConnell to make it 2-1. But Alexandria regrouped and rallied after the election to hold on for a decisive victory.

Against Maxwell, Glens captain Samuel Dupuis led his line of Burris and Blaine with a combined 11 points for an opening playoff victory. Dupuis had a hat trick and an assist, while Blaine had a goal and two assists, and Burris had three assists. William Georund Glenn had the third goal, unassisted.

The Glens' third round robin game will be played at Billy Gabby Arena at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, against South Stormont 1, followed by their final match, 6 p.m. Wednesday against Cornwall Colts 2 at the Cornwall Multi Sports Complex.
