365xl vs 365

365xl Vs 365 - Without a doubt, the SIG P365 has revolutionized the small gun. It is an ultra-cancellable pocket rocket that packs 10 rounds where most guns can only pack 6. It's small size and high capacity make it a standout gun. I have been carrying one for years and it has been a constant companion. It's small, easy to shoot, reliable and gives me options. Now after a year or two, the debate has gained momentum. Looking at P365 vs P365xl, which is better for concealed carry?

In early June 2019, several major retailers in the industry began displaying SIG Sauer OEM 15 round magazines on their websites. Of course, they are out of stock, and a picture is missing. Just one entry, but rumors are swirling that something big is coming.

Finally, the SIGP365XL made its way into the mass industry. Some retailers leaked information and I reached out to my friends at SIG for an official announcement and they kindly passed me the spec sheet.

Sig Launches P365 X Macro: 17+1 Capacity

The SIG P365XL isn't out yet, so we compared it based on experiences with similar weapons like the P365 and Glock 48. Interestingly, both the G48 and G43X are more or less responsive to the capacity of the P365 mags.

However, they have much more grip. It looks like SIG wants to show them off again with the 365 XL.

Both the SIG P365 and P365 XL wear the famous SIG P365 Nitron finish. Nitro finish is a tough and reliable finish that does an excellent job of resisting corrosion and abrasion. The finish is strong and I can attest to my personal P365 with a lot of use.

It is matte black but has a grayish tint to it. It looks professional, and it is applied with attention to detail.

There are no signs of inequality in where the finish was applied or in its application. It's simple and looks great. SIG uses stainless steel as the metal under the nitro finish so you have another strong layer of corrosion resistance.

The black polymer frame is well built and there are plastic molding spots that indicate where the mold comes together.

The slide has the P365 designation and on the XL variant you also see the XL designation. The SIG SAUER name also runs vertically down the black polymer frame which I really like. Like the P320 series, the P365 uses an internal chassis that allows you to remove the 'firearm' from the cap module.

This allows you to swap frames and buy custom frames with different finishes. It's a simple system that works and works well. It also allows you to run a SIG P365 standard slide on a P365X frame and vice versa.

This is the category that will settle the Sig P365 XL VS Sig P365 debate for most of you.

The specs are where we find the real differences between the two guns. Obviously, the XL moniker means this is a slightly bigger gun, but just how big is the golden question. The P365 was already an ultra-delayed gun.

The standard P365 has a 3.1-inch barrel and an overall length of 5.8 inches. It's a short and sweet gun. The SIG P365 Wide is just 1 inch wide and 4.3 inches tall with a standard 10-round magazine. It is a tenth of an inch long with a 12 round magazine. The gun also weighs only 17.8 ounces. Usually, they are pocket pistol sized and very small.

It is very similar in size to the Springfield Hellcat and only slightly larger than the Glock 43. By the way, we also have great comparison reviews for the 2 handguns. Our Springfield Hellcat vs Sig P365 and Glock 43 vs Sig P365 comparisons are the best reviews you'll find for these handguns.

However the P365 XL comes back to the story, with a 3.7-inch long barrel and an overall length of 6.6 inches. The gun also weighs 20.07 ounces and the flush-fit magazine is a P365 12 rounder. Additionally, there is an available 15 round magazine which will extend the height a bit more. This P365 extended magazine is a great addition to the gun. As for height, it stands 4.8 inches tall with a stock 12-round magazine.

These are very different guns, but they are both small for their class. The P365 is very small compared to guns like the Glock 26. The same goes for the P365 XL. The P365 XL's closest competitor is the Glock 19, with its 15-round P365 xl magazine. However, the P365 XL is shorter, lighter and thinner than the Glock 19. In fact, it rivals the Glock 48 in size and offers 2 to 5 more rounds.

The SIG P365 is one of the most ergonomic small guns out there. The grip is long enough to fill the hand and the undercut design of the trigger guard allows you to have a very high grip on the gun. It is designed to be easy to use and easy to handle. For me, it's the ultimate compromise between concealed carry comfort and smooth shooting.

365xl Vs 365

The P365 XL takes those amazing layers and moves them around. The P365 XL gives you an even larger grip that's easy to get even the biggest hands around.

A longer slide gives you a longer radius, making it easier to shoot more accurately at longer ranges. It's more convenient to shoot, but a little harder to carry concealed.

The slim grip is one of the best on the market. It is more round than square and fits the hand incredibly well. Both guns are well suited for large and small hands.

The P365 XL comes with a straight, flat-faced trigger that makes it easy to reach for people with smaller hands. The XL trigger pull is similar in terms of weight but will shorten and break when the straight trigger is at a 90-degree angle. This is a great addition, and I'd love to see the standard P365 adopt it as well.

Controls are the same between standard models. The standard P365 has a version with a thumb safety, the XL model does not. The P365 and P365 XL are both ergonomic and well-designed weapons.

First Shots Review:the Sig Sauer P365, P365 Xl, And P365 Sas

The P365 debuted as a feature-packed gun. It came from the factory with a 10-round smooth-fitting magazine, as well as a ten-rounder with a pinky extension. A 12-round magazine is also available at launch.

The rifle comes with SIG XRAY3 night sights which is honestly an awesome touch. The gun is rated for +P ammunition, and of course, the option of a manual safety version is an option for some. Manual safety also makes it legal in MA.

Can the P365 XL make it better? Yes, it can be safe. We've already mentioned the tall flat-faced trigger on the P365 XL. It gives you more trigger control and has a shorter trigger reach. Besides that, you still get amazing night sights as a stock option. You'll also get two 12-round magazines with an optional 15-round magazine coming soon.

Plus you get the feature that sold me on the gun, the light slide cut for the red dot. A red dot optic is a fantastic addition to a carry gun. The P365 XL will have a lighter slide to accommodate the new Romeo Zero optic or Shield RMSc red dot. The red dot on the gun makes it easier to shoot faster, further and more accurately. It takes some practice to use it properly, but once you learn it, it's hard to go back to just irons. This feature alone may settle the Sig P365 XL VS Sig P365 debate for those of you who prefer red dot sights.

The Romeo Zero will be released at the same time as the P365 XL. The slide plate holds your rear sight and holds the optic too far back. The P365 XL will also have a slightly longer beavertail that gives you more control over your weapon and makes it more comfortable to fire.

The grip also has an integrated guide magwell to make reloading the gun faster and more intuitive.

If you have large hands like mine, the standard P365 can be difficult to reload. This integrated magwell allows you to reload without the risk of pinning the magazine in place with your hand.

One of the most pleasant surprises about the P365 was how easy it was to handle. It didn't slap and kick the hand, which is rare for a pocket-sized 9mm. The P365 is a great gun. It has some bounce and cannon rise, but it's still controlled. The P365's small beavertail also prevents slippage, another rarity for such a small gun.

The P365 XL isn't in the reviewer's hands yet, but it does
